2012 Local & Global Missions
Local:
There are many opportunities to serve in local outreach activities. We have developed great relationships with the homeless and underprivileged in Franklin Square Park in Washington DC, with the staff at SERVE, and with local businesses, public servants, and those serving the elderly in our local counties. Most of these outreach opportunities are a great venue for serving with your family. Contact the outreach coordinators listed below to get more information on dates and to check on any age restrictions for the various activities.

SERVE
Bring food, drinks & etc. to SERVE and prepare a meal one time a month. We will eat and fellowship with the SERVE residents. We meet at serve at 3:30pm.

DC Street Ministry
PVC provides food and fellowship for the homeless and underprivileged in Franklin Square Park, Washington DC. Families (with children over 5 years) welcome. We meet at PVC at 9 am monthly to prepare lunch, caravan downtown and return to PVC around 1 PM.

Open Hands
Concentrates on three areas of local need which include emergency assistance, homelessness and building relationships. The key ingredient in sustaining our mission will be God’s love and our goal is to share His love with all those we meet. Every month our Church receives numerous calls for emergency assistance. It has become clear that the need is growing and that PVC is being called into action for such simple but vital things as food or diapers for a family who cannot afford them. This area of the mission will focus on solutions for emergency need. Prayer, dignity, relationships with God and community will be parts of this mission.

Global Missions:

Guatemala – Park Valley Church travels to Chiquimula, Guatemala annually to work with Missionary Myra Smith.
